Minneha Announcements
Dear Minneha Parents,
Happy New Year! I hope you and your family had a restful winter break. It is always nice to spend time with family and friends over the break. The staff at Minneha are happy to be back to the business of creating the most successful students in Wichita.
The month of January is an important month in the school calendar. It is the month we return from break and begin our second semester. This is important as it sets the course for our future months. This means your child’s daily attendance will be necessary to create the right academic path for your child. Please help your child create a schedule that allows your student plenty of evening rest to allow for a successful morning routine.

January 15th is the due date for magnet applications to be returned to the district magnet office. A reminder that Minneha is unable to process your application nor send it on to the central office. A final reminder; if you have a student already attending Minneha that does not automatically ensure your younger child a spot at Minneha. The younger child still must have an active application on file at the magnet office. Please see our office for more details.

January 15th and 18th are non-attendance days for students. Please mark your calendars for these dates.

January 27th we will have our PTO and site council meetings. As always, the meetings begin at 6:00 in the Minneha library. We welcome all parents to attend these meetings.
Have a great month of January and thank you for all you do for your child’s success.
Kindest Regards,
Chris Wendt
On July 31st 2015, Minneha Core Knowledge Magnet received the Let’s Move! Active Schools National Award for the 2015-2016 school year.  We also received a letter of congratulations from First Lady Michelle Obama for this honor. Minneha received this National award for creating an active school environment and for promoting at least 60 minutes of activity a day to help fight childhood obesity.  We are also participating in the NFL Fuel Up To Play 60 as well as the Fresh Fruit and Vegetables Program to also help combat childhood obesity.
